Sitting just six points behind league leaders Manchester City, Liverpool have a huge incentive to secure victory over West Ham.

Liverpool are on a dominant run, having won six Premier League matches on the bounce and with Mo Salah (19), Diogo Jota (12) and Sadio Mane (11) currently the league’s top three goal scorers.

Liverpool’s outstanding stats show why they are favourites to beat West Ham.

Added to that the Prem’s top three assists have come from Jurgen Klopp’s trusted men; Salah (10), Trent Alexander-Arnold (10) and Andrew Robertson (9).

And to make things worse for West Ham, Salah has netted nine goals in his nine league games against the London club and he could become the second African player to score 10 Premier League goals against an opponent.

If those numbers alone aren’t worrying for David Moyes’ side then these incredible statistics will most definitely increase fear for the Hammers ahead of the top-flight clash.

talkSPORT EDGE takes a look at why Liverpool should take those three vital points from West Ham and cause panic for Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola…

  • Liverpool have scored in each of their last 11 Premier League games against West Ham, netting at least twice in 10 of these meetings (31 goals in total).
  • Liverpool have only lost one of their last 48 home league games against West Ham (W35 D12), going down 3-0 under Brendan Rodgers in August 2015.
Despite West Ham beating Liverpool 3-2 in November, the Reds have only lost one home game against the Hammers in the last 48 matches.

  • Liverpool have won their last six Premier League games by an aggregate score of 18-2. At home, the Reds are unbeaten in 17 league games (W13 D4), winning the last eight by an aggregate score of 26-2.
