After a disappointing defeat for Liverpool and a frustrating draw for Chelsea, things aren’t looking great for either team’s attempts to keep up with Premier League leaders Manchester City.
However, both teams face each other in their first game of 2022 and it really is all to play for.
Should Liverpool win this fixture, it would give Jurgen Klopp and his team hope that they still have a good chance of competing for the league, especially if Manchester City slip up in the New Year.
However, if the Blues can get a win at home against Liverpool, it would provide a much needed morale boost for the team.
